Written by Karyee Lee | Jun 9 2026

Melbourne, Australia: A popular feature of Europe’s leading security exhibition is set to make its Australian debut this November, as the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) brings its acclaimed Live Testing Lab to The Security Event Australia (TSEAU).

The interactive feature has become a standout attraction at The Security Event in the UK, offering visitors a rare opportunity to see physical security products tested in real time and understand the role of independent testing and certification in raising security standards Following its debut appearance at the Singapore edition of the show in November 2025, the Live Testing Lab will now be introduced to the Australian market for the first time.

The LPCB Live Testing Lab will provide visitors with a unique opportunity to witness a team of professional forced entry specialists testing a diverse range of perimeter and building security products. The live demonstrations will showcase how tested solutions perform in the face of simulated intrusion scenarios.

Delivered by LPCB, part of the global research and certification organisation BRE Group, the demonstrations are designed to highlight the importance of rigorous product testing and third-party certification in improving security standards across the built environment.

Peter Poole, Group Director of The Security Event Australia, said: “We’re delighted to be bringing the LPCB Live Testing Lab to Australia for the first time. It has been one of the most engaging and talked-about features at The Security Event in the UK and its debut in Singapore last year proved how valuable these demonstrations are for international audiences. Seeing security products put to the test in real time provides visitors with a powerful and practical understanding of the role that tested and certified solutions play in protecting people, property and critical infrastructure.”

Jane Fields, Group Managing Director Assurance, BRE, said: “Bringing the LPCB Live Testing Lab to Australia is an important milestone and reflects the international relevance of LPCB’s work. The lab has become a powerful way to show the value of independent testing and certification in practice, and we are excited to give Australian audiences the opportunity to experience it first-hand.”

Richard Flint, Technical and Commercial Lead for Physical Security at LPCB, added: “The Live Testing Lab allows us to demonstrate the realities of forced entry testing and the standards that security products must meet in order to achieve LPCB certification. By recreating realistic attack scenarios, visitors can see first-hand the difference that properly tested and certified products can make.”

The LPCB Live Testing Lab will run throughout the exhibition, offering multiple live demonstrations each day and giving visitors the chance to see how certified products perform under pressure.

The Security Event Australia will bring together leading security manufacturers, integrators, consultants and end users from across the region, creating a platform for innovation, collaboration and knowledge sharing within the Australian security sector.
